Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)
Leadership is learned by doing.
The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) gives young people an immersive opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills, build confidence, form new relationships, and discover the value of service.
Students participate in team-building activities, leadership discussions, personal development experiences, and challenges designed to help them better understand themselves and the kind of leaders they can become. For Barstow students, RYLA provides an opportunity to step outside the classroom, connect with young leaders from throughout the region, and return home with new skills, perspectives, and friendships.
